Cat and baby in the same house

Are cats dangerous for children?
There are people who are sure that cats are dangerous for children. What if an allergy? Suddenly worms? Suddenly fleas?

But if an allergy can really be a problem (you can’t guess here), then the other risks are exaggerated.

If a cat is domesticated and is monitored (regularly vaccinated and treated for parasites, taken for examination by a veterinarian, do not practice self-walking and does not allow the cat to dig in the bin), it does not pose a threat to the child’s health and there are no restrictions on the child’s communication with no cat. Exception: scratches, but we will talk about them below.

Kitten eyes

Cat eyes are the visual organ that allows cats to prey on small prey even in low light conditions. This peculiar “night vision device” developed in felines during the evolution process for many thousands of years and inherited from our wild relatives to our domestic cat. Oddly enough, kittens are born without the ability to see at all – with closed eyelids. They begin to open their eyes and navigate normally in space with the help of vision only by the 10-14th day of life, but even at this age the visual organ is at the formation stage. Poor nutrition, infections, allergic reactions, injuries and other environmental factors can have a detrimental and often irreversible effect on the eyes of a kitten.

As a rule, a person does not have to take care of a baby’s diet for up to a month – his mother takes responsibility. But as soon as the kitten switches to self-nutrition, increased attention must be paid to its feeding. Such a transition is carried out at the age of a month to 2. To form a good vision, the kitten’s diet should be as balanced as possible and contain in sufficient quantities all macro- and microelements. Continue reading

Features of the behavior of cats and the main cat team

Like a dog, a cat belongs to the so-called companion animals and lives in close proximity to humans. However, at the same time, it does not lose its natural instincts and remains one of the most dangerous predators in its “weight category”.

The relationship of a cat with a person is widely discussed in various literature, but most owners do not always fully understand their pets.

The scientific community is still debating whether the cat is fully domesticated or can be attributed to the so-called “semi-domestic” species. In light of all this, it may not be easy for the cat’s owners to understand the causes of aggression or discontent, learn how to interact with the cat correctly, or teach them some commands. Below we will talk about some features of the behavior of cats.
